About Safır Internatıonal School

Safir international school was founded in 2015 by a group of experienced educational specialists who are academically and scientifically qualified. It began operations in June 2015 and had approximately 300 students from kindergarten through 10th grade in its first academic year. Due to the school›s outstanding reputation, student enrollment has grown from 300 students in its first year in one school, to 5 branches, 200 teachers, 160 administrators and support staff, and more than 2500 students from approximately 45 different countries

About us

Safir International School Program

At Safir International School we use the English language as the main language of instruction. We also teach the Arabic language since most of our students are Arabs. We teach the Turkish language as a third language which allows our students to mingle and enjoy the country they are living in. We offer an American program to our Pre-K to Grade 12 students that is based on California State Standards. We use inquiry-based and hands-on activities to deliver our curriculum. Our teachers use a variety of teaching and assessment methods in order to meet the needs of our students. We have a learning support program in order to differentiate instruction for our students that is based on their abilities and needs.

Our students enjoy modern facilities including science labs, computer labs, gym, sports facilities, library and well-equipped classrooms. By the time our students graduate from high school, they will earn an American High School Diploma and they would have learned the concepts and skills that will allow them to succeed in colleges and later on as they start their career journey. We care about the overall well-being of our students; this is why we make sure we take care of their academic, social and emotional needs. We also work on our students’ character building by instilling in them the Islamic values.

In addition to teaching the core subjects, English, Math, Science and Social Studies, we teach the following subjects: Holy Quran, Islamic Studies, Islamic History, Arabic, Turkish, Art, Music, Physical Education and Computer & IT.

The school is divided into four sections:
– Kindergarten: Pre-K, KG1 and KG2
– Elementary School: Grades 1-5
– Middle School: Grades 6-8
– High School: Grades 9-12

We offer our students the services of a specialized counselor, a college counselor who works with the high school students, a school doctor and a special educational needs coordinator.
We have an extra-curricular program that includes sports activities, Music, Art, Drama, and some clubs such as environmental club, community service and others.

American High School Program: Grades 9-12

In order for our students to graduate from our school and earn an American High School Diploma they need to successfully complete some courses during Grades 9-12 from the following subject areas: Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Islamic History, Physical Education, Computer & IT, Art, Music and a third language such as Turkish.
Our high school program is a college-preparatory program, which means we teach the students the concepts and skills that allow them to take certain entrance exams required by most colleges in USA and Canada such as SAT and TOFEL.

We have a college counselor who works with Grades 9-12 students to provide information and advice about college admissions process and requirements that includes recommendations letters, transcripts and the needed standardized exams scores.

We intend to offer in the future to our Grade 11 and 12 students Advanced Placement (AP) courses that will increase their chances of being accepted in certain colleges in USA and Canada, in addition to allowing them to earn course credits for the related subjects in certain colleges based on certain scores that they need to earn as set by these colleges.
